AUSTRALIAN RESEARCH COUNCIL (ARC) Current Schemes The funding rules and instructions for applications for the ARC Future Fellowships are now available on the ARC Website. If you are interested in applying for a Fellowship you need to contact the relevant faculty Associate Dean Research by no later than 24 October 2008.
The funding rules for the Australian Laureate Fellowships are now available on the ARC Website. If you are interested in applying for a fellowship - you need to contact Paul Ashworth, UNSW Research Strategy Office by no later than Friday October 31 2008.

Forthcoming Schemes The ARC deadline for submission of Discovery Project applications for funding in 2010 will be Wednesday 4 March 2009. The funding rules and application form are likely to be released in early December. The UNSW Research Strategy Office is currently working with Faculties to ensure a strong mentoring system is in place across the University to support you in preparing your application.
ARC Grant Announcements Linkage Projects 2007 Round 2 (Commencing July 2008)
The ARC has released the second round of successful proposals for Linkage Projects commencing in July 2008. UNSW researchers did exceptionally well with nearly half the submitted proposals recieving funding. Overall the University was awarded ten percent of the grants and nearly eighteen percent of funds. Linkage Projects 2007 Round 1 (Commencing January 2008)
The Minister for Education, Science and Training, the Hon Julie Bishop MP, has announced that the Australian Government will provide $62.3 million to more than 200 new collaborative research projects to be conducted over the next five years.
The projects, funded under the Australian Research Council's (ARC) Linkage Projects scheme, also attracted commitments of more than $95 million from more than 400 partner organisations, including businesses, community organisations, industry bodies and other public sector agencies.
